ISSA Certified Nutrition Coach

Whether you want to gain muscle, lose fat, or live healthily, a limiting factor usually lies beyond exercise training program. Poor nutrition is what holds clients back. Good nutrition will feed muscle and shed fat. This will improve nearly every measurable health marker to get the body you never thought you could have.  5 Key markers answer clients who ask questions like:

"How does keto / paleo / carb cycling work?"

"What should change if I'm pregnant?"

"How do I gain muscle if I don't want to eat meat?"

  1. Qualifications and confidence to answer any nutrition question: I have a deep understanding of the science behind nutrition. The process behind how food is turned into energy to maintain your body, how it allows you to do work, and the ways it is used for repair and recovery. I educate clients on the importance of how the body balances the energy you get from food with the energy you spend.

  2. Ability to motivate clients to make a change: I offer the psychology and systems that thousands of successful clients have applied to their lifestyle. The most effective approach is coaching our clients so you can make a lasting change. Start and stay motivated to reach goals and change behaviors.

  3. Master my own nutrition: I follow my advice to hit personal goals, to become an expert.

  4. Recommend exact step-by-step solutions: I can offer a variety of 30+ intake forms, assessments, and worksheets to illuminate triggers for sabotage as well as identify those that lead to success.

  5. Risk free opportunity: I am confident & truly love to help others reach their goals. ALL 30-day nutritional reset systems are money back guarantee.

ISSA Specialist in Group Fitness

  • Select, scale, modify, and blend exercises, repetition schemes, workout tempos, and group workout formats.

  • Identify the most effective blend of equipment and exercises to provide a full-body, balanced approach to achieving the desired training effect for the group

  • Identify essential considerations for designing a specific group exercise program, including useful information gathering, strategies for flexible programming in less than ideal conditions, approaching nutrition effectively in a group setting, safety and injury prevention, and strategies for coaching, motivating, tracking progress, and building relationships.

  • Participating in a group fitness class offers a great, and often more affordable alternative to working one-on-one with a personal trainer.  However, flawed program design, poor planning, and lack of safe exercise progression and regression can sometimes lead to suboptimal results, and even injury to those who participate in group fitness classes.  As a certified specialist in this area, I can plan, implement, and lead group fitness classes to help you achieve optimal results in a fun and safe environment.

ISSA Youth Fitness Trainer

Countless studies show that children and adolescents today are in worse shape than at any other time in recent history. As an ISSA student working toward my certification in youth fitness, I'm learning how timeless fitness and training principles apply specifically to kids and teens. And I will soon be able to help them train safely and knowledgeably for their age, boosting their confidence and giving them a stronger and brighter outlook on life.

Mental Health_Certificate: Ethnicity & The Therapeutic Relationship

The topic of ethnicity and the therapeutic working relationship explore topics of oppression, microaggression, and the therapeutic process:

I define these terms as...

Oppression: Unjust treatment or control. May be overt or covert, depending on how it is practiced

Micro-aggression: The unconscious/indirect/unintentional discrimination and judgments about marginalized groups. Often experienced as overt or covert expressions.

Therapeutic process:  The connection between therapist and client that offers safety, security, and support for clients to reveal sensitive information that they've hidden/omitted/resisted for fear of judgement or lack of acceptance/understanding in the outside world

DMH (Disaster Mental Health) Certificate

In the area of Disaster Mental Health it is important to understand and differentiate key terms that are commonly used interchangeably.  We support highlighting distinctions to clarity complex topics. These definitions show differences and similarities:

disaster: a sudden event, such as an accident or a natural catastrophe, that causes great damage or loss of life.  In a disaster the strategy is often simply survival

crisis: a time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger. In a crisis, the strategy is about what's best for the organization.

emergency: a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.

trauma: a deeply distressing or disturbing experience.

It is believed that both crisis and emergency would lead to disaster if the event were neglected or mismanaged
